Open Letter

Why, then, do people race to pave their way through dreams
That faded
Why, then, a soul can go through desperate times and
Secret holdings

One says, “There’s only one true, sure way”
(so sure, you’re never gonna doubt it – any other’s gotta be a lie)
The other, “I couldn’t agree more, mine”
(stop down, settle this crisis – otherwise children gonna die)

Where does the love escape most – everyday it seems outdated
Where do you see the guidepost, feel the best – come clean,
Say something

One says, “There’s only one true, sure way”
(so sure, you’re never gonna doubt it – any other’s gotta be a lie)
The other, “I couldn’t agree more, mine”
(stop down, settle this crisis – otherwise children gonna die)
Where goes the blood of brothers?
Sisters, daddies, sons and mothers
Where do we go when we arrive
After the rising of the tide

When will you make it clear to
Quell the violence please – I’ve waited
When, if your love it can do miracles we need
Some saving

Where goes the blood of brothers?
Sisters, daddies, sons and mothers
Where do we go when we arrive
After the rising of the tide
